Last week the conference "Aspects of ergodic theory for hyperbolic groups" took place in our mathematics institute at the Felix-Klein lecture hall.

Hyperbolic groups are fascinating objects. For instance, they describe the mathematical structure behind beautiful pictures as the one above.
A significant aspect of modern research on hyperbolic groups is devoted to characteristic connections between their geometry and the dynamical properties of their actions.
In order to shed light on specific aspects, the workshop brings together experts from various research fields such as ergodic theory, (geometric) group theory,  geometry and operator algebras.
